見浜園茶室 松籟亭
At "MICUSRAT - Loves music and art - SUN/YOSHIROTTEN | Installation in Makuhari New City" held in August 2023, we exhibited the installation work "SAKAZUKI" created with Wajima Kirimoto, a lacquer ware studio in Wajima, Ishikawa, and contemporary artist YOSHIROTTEN The installation work "SAKAZUKI" was exhibited at "Installation in Makuhari New City. The location was Mihamaen Teahouse Shorai-tei in Makuhari.
SAKAZUKI" was produced by the Japan Artisan Foundation as an installation that reconnects people who have been isolated and weakened by the new coronavirus through the exchange of "sake cups.
When Toyotomi Hideyoshi visited Rikyu's tea room after hearing a rumor about morning glories blooming all over the garden of Sen no Rikyu's mansion, he found that not a single morning glory in the garden had been pulled out. Hideyoshi was astonished to see a single morning glory on the floor of the tea room, which greatly impressed Hideyoshi.
Inspired by this anecdote from the "Chagan Sigetsu Shu" (Tea Talks and Gatherings), the exhibition was staged to look like a single flower receiving all the sunlight in the center of the dimly lit tea room of the Shorai-tei.
2023年8月に開催された『MICUSRAT - Loves music and art - SUN/YOSHIROTTEN | Installation in Makuhari New City』にて、石川・輪島市にある漆器工房輪島キリモトと現代アーティストYOSHIROTTENと共に製作したインスタレーション作品「SAKAZUKI」の展示を行いました。場所は幕張の見浜園茶室 松籟亭。
この「SAKAZUKI」は新型コロナウイルスによって隔離され希薄になった人間関係を、「盃」を交わすことで結び直すインスタレーションとしてJapan Artisan Foundationがプロデュースしました。
千利休の屋敷の庭一面に咲いた朝顔の噂を聞きつけた豊臣秀吉が利休の茶室に訪れた際、庭の朝顔は一株も残さず抜かれていました。あっけにとられながら茶室に入ると床には見事な朝顔が一輪だけ生けてあり、これには秀吉が大いに感服したと言います。
この『茶話指月集』の逸話に着想を得て、松籟亭の薄暗い茶室の中心で太陽の光を一身に受ける一輪の花に見立てて、「SAKAZUKI」を展示しました。
