Cuboctahedron


Composed of eight triangular and six square faces, the cuboctahedron is a fourteen-faced geometric solid.

In this projection-based work, light and moving images are layered onto its structure, transforming the perception of an otherwise static object.

Light travels across its surfaces, colors shift its contours, and motion appears to draw the form inward. Through the intersection of image and geometry, the cuboctahedron seems to expand, contract, dissolve, and reassemble—oscillating between physical presence and optical illusion.

The form before us is continuously rewritten by light.

This work explores the boundary between the object as matter and the space that emerges through perception.


8つの三角形と6つの正方形からなる、14面体の立方八面体。

本作は、その幾何学的な構造に光と映像を重ねることで、静止した立体の知覚を変容させるプロジェクション作品です。

面を横断する光、輪郭をずらす色彩、内部へと沈み込むような運動。映像と造形が交差することで、立方八面体は膨張と収縮、分解と再構成を繰り返し、実体と虚像のあいだを揺れ動きます。

そこにあるはずの形は、光によって絶えず書き換えられていく。

本作は、物質としての立体と、知覚の中に現れる空間との境界を探る試みです。
