Stage design and direction for Japan's largest New Year's Eve festival "Countdown Japan" on the Astro Stage, held in December 2011 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba.

The concept of the stage design and direction is “Hatsumode" (first shrine visit of the year). In the motif of a shrine, the torii gate is projected on a transparent screen, and the mirror in the main hall is represented by a mirror ball. The cloth across the trusses expresses the shape of the roof of the main hall.

COUNTDOWN JAPAN was organized by Makuhari Messe and J-WAVE, and Rocking on Japan was in charge of planning and production from the 2008-2009 to 2016-2017 editions.180,000 people attended the event in for its 2016-2017 edition.

国内最大の年越しフェスティバル「COUNTDOWN JAPAN」アストロステージでのステージデザインと演出。開催は2011年12月、千葉・幕張メッセにて。

ステージデザイン・演出のコンセプトは初詣。神社をモチーフに、透過スクリーンに鳥居を写し、本殿にある鏡はミラーボールで表現。トラスとトラスを渡らせた布は、本殿の屋根の形状を表現しています。

COUNT DOWN JAPANは、幕張メッセとJ-WAVEが主催、ロッキング・オン・ジャパンが企画制作を手掛け、私たちは08/09年から16/17年まで担当。16/17年の動員数は約18万人。
